HEARD ON THE STREET

After getting all the brickbats from the Apex Court on the subservient functioning of  the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and meddling by government in investigations entrusted to the agency, the Indian government is firm on no resignations by any member of political executive. Firstly because the government take instructions only from the court and the court has neither demanded any resignations nor pronounced any punishment. Secondly because all the powerful and mighty of the government must be applauded for carrying out an expose on the weak character of the CBI personnel to perfection and bringing out their unsuitability for holding positions in the prime investigation agency after having failed the acid test of conducting business in a fair, independent and impartial manner.
We should be proud of having such wonderful and innovative individuals at the helm of affairs who are totally wedded to their concern for the nation and its citizenry.
